Social Spaciousness + Time Abundance

While scarcity mindset sets in all over the world with COVID-19–  between lack of medical supplies, food, dry goods, physical connection, etc– there is one thing we have in abundance right now: time. As we are practicing social spaciousness, many of the day-to-day activities that demand our attention are on pause for a couple weeks, and I would like to challenge us all to get CLEAR

Create

This is a great time to channel your energy into a creative project. With all of the additional time at home, this is a perfect opportunity to dive into something you’ve been putting off for a while or lean into something entirely new! Some of our friends are hosting an online community called #thisiswhyicreate or @thisiswhyicreate. Check out some of the things other people are creating, and connect with some additional creatives!

Learn

Reading, practicing, online seminars, and self-study are all socially spacious activities that have a tremendous impact on us. Is there a new skill you’ve been looking to pick up? A book that has been sitting on your shelf waiting for the perfect opportunity? What about a class you’ve had your eye on through Skillshare

Evaluate

Our culture moves at a break-neck speed most of the time. When was the last time you evaluated what no longer serves you? Letting things go that drain your attention can be a very empowering exercise. If you’d like some inspiration, check out some of our favorite minimalists: Leo Babauta, The Minimalists, Courtney Carver, and Joshua Becker.

Align

How are you doing on those ‘New Year, new me’ resolutions? Check in on your priorities, and see how they align with your vision of yourself and the future. Here’s a free Commitment Inventory Worksheet to help get you started.

Reach out, virtually

Share and connect with your people! While we might not be able to spend time together IRL, now, more than ever, there are ways to connect virtually. Share what you create, learn, or feel. Lean into your community, and continue to grow it.

How are you using this abundance of time right now? I’d love to hear from you!

Thanks for reading! Love and light, Ciara
